Based on our upcoming parenting book, Dr. Susan Bauerfeld and I offer workshops that help parents to shift away from worry and toward building healthy relationships with their children.
We offer both a half day workshop and a 6 week long workshop that meets once a week for 2 hours.
What can I expect to learn in a workshop?
All families struggle, but the details of those struggles vary greatly. Therefore, parents need a framework that will guide their decisions across all challenges- one that will give them confidence and clarity about what to do according to their values. Our workshops aim to provide that framework. The half day workshop introduces parents to our “Base Camp” model framework. The 6 week workshop allows us to work more in depth with the principles and skills of this framework. In both formats, we hope to give parents the ability to create a more beneficial “Base Camp” where children can thrive.
In all of our workshops, we aim to create an atmosphere where parents can feel supported and understood. In today’s world, parents feel a lot of pressure to “get it right” and often feel judged when things aren’t picture perfect. We know that parents are doing the best that they can. As such, so we work toward building a space where parents can safely share their fears and struggles, and connect with other parents who are facing similar challenges.
