About Chris

Chris likes to think of herself as a “link-titioner” — someone who bridges the gap between research and real life. While understanding the why behind a concept is essential, transformation doesn’t happen without the how. Her focus, in both her private practice and in her presentations, is on helping people translate insights into action.

Chris has over three decades of experience in exploring the foundational components of change and the critical elements to building a strong sense of self. Her commitment to understanding each person’s unique journey allows her to deeply connect with her clients. For wider audiences, she offers insights delivered with humor, honesty and compassion.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT SESSIONS

Coaching differs from therapy in that it is more future-focused, solution-oriented and action-based. It begins with the assumption that clients are well and whole, but seeking positive changes in their lives or in need of short-term help in managing a specific life challenge. Coaches endeavor to support clients in creating a future that is in alignment with their values, needs and vision.

Yes. Because Chris works as a Life Coach and not as a psychologist, she is able to see clients in every state. However, because she works as a Life Coach and not as a psychologist, her services are not covered by health insurance.

No. Chris works differently from other Life Coaches in this regard. Clients do not need to schedule more than one session at a time: Chris works according to their needs.

Chris and her clients typically meet once a week for a 55 minute session. However, because Chris works according to what clients need, they can meet every two weeks, once a month, or once a quarter — it is entirely up to them. Chris also books half hour and 45 minute sessions when desired.

In Chris’s opinion, the most important factor when choosing to work with someone is personality fit. When you meet a Life Coach, do you get the feeling that you could confide in this person? Does the conversation feel easy and comfortable? Do you feel like you can connect with them? A strong relationship is foundational for growth. As such, choose a good personality fit over the number or prestige of degrees. (But do make sure they do have a degree!)

No. Because Chris works as a Life Coach, she does not take insurance nor is she reimbursable through insurance.
